We have our youth centre (The Booth), which is open Mon-Fri 3pm-6pm, and need your help to run it. What we need you to commit to is 3 hours per week and continue this each week so it is consistent for the youth who can get to know who you are and you get to know who they are.
Our lovely volunteers help us do what we do and we couldn’t do it without them.
What does it involve?
Volunteers are on the front line with our youth workers. You will be helping run The Booth. Some roles include, but not limited to, opening The Booth up, interacting with youth (playing XBOX, playing pool, chatting, basketball, drawing, make-up sessions etc.) preparing food for afternoon tea, cleaning, etc.
What do you need to get started?
We need you to provide us with the following:
- Current CV
- a NZ Police Check (within the last year)
- If no NZ Police Check has been done, please contact us as we can assist you with the process.
- If you are from overseas, a relevant Police Check from your home country within the last year also.
What happens once I have these forms?
Once you have these documents, email them through to us and we will be in contact. We will meet with you and ask you some questions and let you know about what we do and how you can help us at The Booth.
It could be you! Please contact us to get the process started or if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email or call us.
